Weapon of Mass Distraction

Weapon of Mass Distraction is a series of glitch art posters about our conflicted relationship with smartphones, where the title doubles as commentary on how devices made for connection now break apart our attention. The silhouetted crowds at the bottom of each poster were AI-generated to show people physically together but mentally lost in their screens. The project began with clean iPhone mockups, then corrupted them through databending: image files went into Audacity and got manipulated as audio data, while a text editor altered the raw image structure. Photoshop came in last to refine the distortions and create color variations.
